The Firedragon Fruit

When I return to the States, I’ll miss the fruits dearly. Sure, I can get them in exotic stores but not this fresh, when the leaves are still crisp.

Fruits I got in Sept.: Guava (with leaves), firedragon fruit, grapefruit, fruits of a hundred fragrances (plum color)

The Firedragon Fruit

It tastes lightly sweet, a bit meaty, a bit tart. Hard to compare it with any other fruit.

For US$3 I get two of them from the street vendor who only comes in the morning, selling veggies and fruits.

It's a beauty!

Peeling the skin off is like peeling a banana.

Serving it is a pleasure.
